I'm getting close in hours to servicing my New Holland 21d. Just checked with the dealer on prices for filters. OUCH!!! The air filter (outer) is almost fifty bucks! Am I naive to be shocked by this? Not that I'm not willing to pay the bucks for maintaining my tractor, just wondering if anyone out there can turn me on to a quality replacement filter for less $$$.

Get me the New Holland part number and I can cross it to a Fleetguard filter. It is wise to buy original equipment, but if you prefer not to, Fleetguard is the best replacement. E-mail me @ bgr111@davesworld.net. ....

Fleetguard makes excellent stuff and probably makes the original filter. I would call your local dealer parts dept. and have them look it up. Napa gold is good too. Napa has all the cross-reference manuels and part no. The counter guys can look it up for you. I use the Napa Gold filters in my tractors. ....

Ouch is right. if your dealer is asking that much for an outer filter only, he is gouging the h--- out of you. My dealer quoted $36.90 for the outer filter, and $14.25 for the inner filter. E-Mail me I'll send you his address, if you want original equipment.b27 ....
